Residents and visitors placed flowers, balloons, candles and memorial plaques in front of the Monterey Park City Hall to honor the residents who were wounded or killed at the Star Ballroom Dance Studio in Monterey Park on January 21^st.

All of the visitors to this memorial offered silent prayers and had a moment of silence to honor and remember those people who lost their lives to violence.

A Catholic prayer for the dead “Eternal rest grant unto him or her O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him or her. May the soul of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen”.
