The City of Monterey Park, in partnership with Monterey Park Arts Collective (MPAC), is proud to announce its first-ever Electric Park, a free concert featuring DJ/Producers playing Electronic Dance Music on Saturday, October 8 at Barnes Park.

This event is focused on bringing people together to provide a positive activity that will enhance the lives of the residents. Monterey Park residents have expressed a desire for events and activities geared toward younger adults, a sizeable portion of the city’s population (34% of residents are aged 18-44, Census). This event aims to be the first of many that provide hope and harmony through Music, People, and Community.

Children of ages enjoyed the various games using Hula Hoops, tossing the bean bags, building a wood tower and rearranging colorful rings.

The party was from 2PM until 10 PM.

Guests visited the various booths and enjoyed food and beverages purchased from the food trucks.
