Monterey Park Police Chief Kelly Gordon welcomed the residents to National Night Out Against Crime, which is celebrated across America and Canada.  We are here to have neighbors meet with our law enforcement officers. We are a true community and family. She thanked Lt. Paul Yniguez and Sgt. Randy Esparza for putting this event together for all of us.

Please visit all of the vendors and city departments who are here tonight. She thanked the police department for their dedication to serve to our community with pride. She thanked our City Council and our City Manager for their support.

Mayor Henry Lo thanked the residents for coming to our National Night Out event. It is a special one to have after the Pandemic. He thanked our Police and Fire Departments for keeping us safe. Enjoy your evening!

Congressmember Judy Chu said she  is very happy to attend our National Night Our celebration. After a couple of years, we are here to strengthen our relationship with our police department. She thanked all of the business owners and residents for helping to keep our community safe. San Gabriel Valley Mobile Response Team are helping with mental health issues. She is working on Gun Safety. We all need to work together to try to keep us safe.

Jennifer Chu from Assemblymember Mike Fong’s office welcomed everyone to our National Night Out event. She said she can’t wait to enjoy the delicious Hot Dogs!

Kelly Gordon introduced Councilmember Hans Liang, Councilmember Peter Chan, City Clerk Vince Chang and City Treasurer Joseph Leon to the audience. She wished everyone a great night.

Members of  The Home Depot created a special bench for our police department.

Members of the Boys & Girls Club offered several different flavored frozen ices to the delight of the guests.

Members of the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library provided information and free books to the guests.

Members of the Monterey Park Lions provided information on their services to our community.

Members of the Monterey Park’s Woman’s Club were seeking new members to join their club.

Members of the Monterey Park Police Officers Association welcomed residents to their booth and provided information on their services to our community.

Monterey Park police officers helped young people gear up for a rescue event.

Monterey Park Police Explorers Troop 300 manned a booth looking for new members.

Monterey Park Police Department Rescue 2 had people  of all ages climbing into the truck.

Monterey Park Police Department provided a Drone for people to see in action.

Monterey Park Fire Department CERT Manager Justin Birrell maned the CERT station to advise residents that CERT members are trained to save lives during a disaster.

A Bike Rodeo was added to the event this year to help teach children bike safety.

Our 2022 National Night Out was very successful as over 1,000 residents to enjoyed a chance to meet and enjoy themselves and visit with our police officers and firefighters.
