Monterey Park’s Snow Village Returns in 2021
Santa Claus and The Grinch welcomed residents to George Elder Park on December 9th to celebrate the Christmas Season.
The park was decorated with inflated decorations that included a Ginger Bread Man, Toy Soldiers, a Christmas Tree, a Snowman, Santa on a Sled and The Grinch as well as trees decorated with large snowflakes and colorful balls.
The event shared the park with the Farmers Market that is opened every Thursday night from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The city had information booths set up for the residents.
The Petting Zoo was enjoyed by children of all ages.
Snow filled a portion of the park so residents could enjoy playing in it. Some snow ball fights were held between friends. For some residents this was the first time they had seen snow up close and enjoyed every minute of it.
Two sled runs were set up for the residents to slid down the hill at a very quick speed.
Children of all ages took turns to enjoy this outdoor winter sport in Monterey Park.
The Grinch was visited by his many fans attending the Snow Village.
Santa Claus posed for pictures with his many fans and each receive a Candy Cane as an early Christmas present.
The residents enjoyed this wonderful Christmas gift given to them by our City Council and City staff.
