According to the world news media we have two wars where people are killing each other. One is in Europe where Ukraine is fighting with Russia since their President Vladimir Putin wants to resurrect the old USSR and take over all of the countries that have been freed from the Soviet Union. The second war is in the Middle East where Israel is fighting Hamas, a group of people who have been terrorizing the residents of Israel and some residents of the Gaza Strip.

The world news media seem to have taken sides in these wars by praising their enemies or supporting the people trying to protect their residents.

I wonder if these people who are killing each other realize that in Europe or the Middle East that they are related to each other by the love of God.

In Europe Russia is guilty of trying to grab land from Ukraine that no longer belongs to the Old USSR. This war has been very damaging as thousands of lives on both sides have been killed or injuries.

The people who live in Ukraine want to be free to be their own country.

In the Middle East the people on both sides are enveloped in a Holy War against each other.  One side worships Yahweh and the other side worships Allah, which is their name for God.

The people who live in Israel want to be free to be their own country. The people who live in the Gaza Strip would also like to be free to live in their country of Palestine.

Most wars are cause by greed or hate since some human beings want to take money, land or personal property that belong to one person for themselves.

Yes, we human beings are imperfect as hard as we try to follow the “Golden Rule” which is “”Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.

We citizens of the United States of America have been financially supporting both of these wars with our tax dollars.

Our government did not ask us if we agreed with these wars and who we are supporting in each of these wars.

Since our government has paid our tax dollars to protect Ukraine’s borders and Israel‘s borders.

Who is protecting our borders from our enemies who are invading our country as well as the thousands of illegals?

Since the Biden Administration in 2020 our country has open borders now, we Americans have to protect ourselves.

To date, we are still a free Republic and should be very grateful this Thanksgiving for our personal freedoms.

According to history “Although prayers and thanks were probably offered at the 1621 harvest gathering, the first recorded religious Thanksgiving Day in Plymouth happened two years later in 1623. On this occasion, the colonists gave thanks to God for rain after a two-month drought.”

Religion has always been a part of our American History as noted by our forefathers when they wrote our Bill of Rights and our Constitution of the United States.

Now it seems that religion is currently not part of many Americans’ lifestyle. They seem to value hatred of their fellow humans more then they value their own lives.

Our current news media has been reporting that some people kill other people because of their race, their religion, their politics or their finances.

Maybe this Thanksgiving we should try to stop hating each other and offer our gifts of friendship and love. We should try to follow the “Golden Rule.”

God has granted us in the United States of America our chances to live in a free country.  We should thank all of our military members for fighting for us and keeping us free.

With God’s blessings we can still enjoy our “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

I wish you and yours a Very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
