I have published the Candidates Filing Status for the November Election in Monterey Park in my September issue.
I live in District 5 and I am supporting and voting for Delario Robinson. He has lived in Monterey Park for 20 years and has served on many of our city’s commissions. He served on our Planning Commission when Stephen Lam was our Councilmember and met with the developers of our Market Place and the developers of Courtyard by Marriott.
Our Market Place saved us from financial ruin during the Pandemic. They were opened to the public and produced sales tax income to support our hometown.
The Courtyard by Marriott has 300 rooms that produce a 12% hotel tax paid directly to Monterey Park.
Delario Robinson is a member of the Monterey Park Lions Club which helps children with their eyesight since the Lions helps children in our local schools with eye exams and helps them receive much needed glasses.
The Lions Club has their annual fundraising Ham and Eggs Breakfast which is now scheduled for next year. They also support high school students with Scholarships for college.
Delario Robinson will bring new ideas to our City Council based on his years of business experience and volunteer service to our hometown.
Delario Robinson is also supporting our ballot measure to increase our sales tax from 9.50 % to 10.25% that will provide Monterey Park with additional funds. Currently Monterey Park only received 1% back from the States and County from our sales tax. The additional .75% from our sales tax will benefit our hometown.
Please vote for Delario Robinson in District 5 and Yes on our sales tax ballot measure.
I am supporting and voting for Hans Liang for City Clerk. He has been a Councilmember for the last 8 years and has served as Mayor twice. He helped the New Councilmembers Yvonne Yiu, Henry Lo and Fred Sornoso learn their roles as sitting Councilmembers.
Hans Liang has proven record of supporting our hometown. He also volunteers at the Monterey Park Historical Society. He and Fred Sornoso became great friends while serving on the City Council together.
Hans Liang is also supporting our ballot measure to increase our sales tax from 9.50 % to 10.25% that will provide Monterey Park with additional funds. Currently Monterey Park only received 1% back from the States and County from our sales tax. The additional .75% from our sales tax will benefit our hometown.
Please vote for Hans Liang as our City Clerk and vote Yes on our sales tax ballot measure.
I am supporting and voting for Vince Chang as our City Treasurer. He has served as our City Clerk for the last 8 years. He has a proven record of supporting our hometown. He helped the New Councilmembers Yvonne Yiu, Henry Lo and Fred Sornoso learn their roles as sitting Councilmembers.
He is a member of The Greater Monterey Park Chamber of Commerce. He helps bring in new businesses to town and supports our current businesses.
Vince Chang is also supporting our ballot measure to increase our sales tax from 9.50 % to 10.25% that will provide Monterey Park with additional funds. Currently Monterey Park only received 1% back from the States and County from our sales tax. The additional .75% from our sales tax will benefit our hometown.
Please vote for Vince Chang as our City Treasurer and vote Yes on our sales tax ballot measure.
I live in District 5 so I cannot vote for Jason Dhing who is running for City Council in District 1.
I support him for our City Council. Jason Dhing has served on the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library Board for many years. He believes that our library provides additional education for our residents and guests who use our library services. He has dressed the part of several characters when the Library Board picked a book theme for their Annual Tea Party.
Jason Dhing is a member of the Monterey Park Lions Club which helps children with their eyesight since the Lions helps children in our local schools with eye exams and helps them receive much needed glasses.
The Lions Club has their annual fundraising Ham and Eggs Breakfast which is now scheduled for next year. They also support high school students with Scholarships for college.
If you live in District 1, please vote for Jason Dhing and vote Yes on ballot measure to increase our sales tax.
I live in District 5 so I cannot vote for Jose Sanchez who is running for City Council in District 3. I met Jose Sanchez who teaches at Alhambra High School many years ago at a Holiday Party/Toy Drive hosted by former Assemblymember Ed Chau. He is dedicated to his students and is a well-loved teacher.
If you live in District 3, please vote for Jose Sanchez and vote Yes on ballot measure to increase our sales tax.
I will never vote for Teresa Real Sebastian again. I supported her and voted her into our City Council twice.
Teresa Real Sebastian is our number one suspect who approached the Texas Think Tank to demand that Monterey Park vote by Districts and create a special district for Hispanics.
Maybe she does not realize that Monterey Park is the First Suburban Chinatown?
Where was Teresa when we fought and demanded English be printed on the business signs in our hometown ?
The sitting City Councilmembers were Lily Chen, Monty Manibog, David Almada, Rudy Peralta and Cam Briglio.
Lily Chen, Monty Manibog. David Almada and Rudy Peralta voted for our business signs be printed in Chinese letters only. Cam Briglio vote against them.
My husband and I were very disappointed in our City Council for voting against us, Americans.
These four Councilmembers were never re-elected to serve our hometown again.
Did you realize that two of these Councilmembers are Hispanic?
Teresa Real Sebastian wanted to make Monterey Park a Sanctuary City but our Council majority said NO. We will make Monterey Park a Safe City for everyone.
Teresa Real Sebastian wanted to fire our current legal team while she sat on the Council. The other Councilmembers said that decision should be made by the new Councilmembers.
Teresa Real Sebastian is or was an Entertainment Attorney and Real Estate Attorney who kept trying to insert her legal opinions on the city, the county and the state laws.
She was reminded several times that she was not our city attorney.
I guess that Teresa Real Sebastian did not hear all of the angry remarks from residents after the county placed homeless people in the Lincoln Plaza Hotel and the Garvey Inn.
So much for her idea of a Sanctuary City.
Teresa Real Sebastian also has tried to take over the Monterey Park’s Woman’s Club and the Monterey Park Lions Club because she believes that she would be a better leader.
I will never vote for her again after I have witnessed her treatment of people who did not agree with her.
I will never vote for Maychelle Yee who is running for City Clerk. When her friend Teresa Real Sebastian was a sitting Councilmember, she yelled at and slandered Councilmembers Hans Liang, Peter Chan and Stephen Lam during Oral Communications.
Why, because they disagreed with Teresa’s opinions at the Council Meetings.
I call Maychelle Yee “Miss Potty Mouth” for her childish display at our City Council Meetings.
I don’t believe that you should act like a child at Public Meetings and then request the Monterey Park residents vote you into office.
I will never vote for these two women based on their previous actions.
Please meet with our candidates and please vote in the best candidates to serve our hometown.
Please vote YES on our ballot measure to increase our sales tax as we need these additional funds to support our city services.
May God continue to bless our United States of America and all of us.
