During the March Elections Monterey Park was forced to vote by Districts. District One and District Five had no Councilmembers to vote for in this election. District Two had four candidates, District Three has two candidates and District Four had two candidates. I have posted the election results as of March 5th to be validated by Los Angeles County on March 27th and then the Monterey Park City Council.

During the March 4th Council Meeting one resident said it was poor leadership of our City Council, our City Manager and our City Attorney that did not education the voters.
I remember that the City staff had several neighborhood meetings to educate the voters.
I agree with Councilmember Teresa Real Sebastian that many lies were posted on various web sights to help destroy our hometown of Monterey Park.
One major lie was our Land Use project would bring in Homeless residents to Corporate Center.
Another lie was that no other cities would vote to increase their sales tax.
I believe that the negativity against the city was supported by some of the Recall people who failed to recall Hans Liang and Peter Chan.
When Monterey Park cannot hire more police officers, more firefighters and more general employees because we don’t have the money to pay for them and all of our other city services.
We can tell those voters that they should have voted to increase our sales tax to support our city.
When Sacramento dictates to us that Monterey Park must provide housing for 5,200 or more people. We may lose our R-1 zoning and our neighborhoods could be overbuilt to look like downtown Los Angeles.
Supposing Sacramento or Los Angeles County buys up the Corporate Center and other vacant land in Monterey Park to install Homeless Centers in our hometown?
We can tell those voters that they should have approved our 2040 Land Use Project that may have protected us from Sacramento.
Maybe we can request that these ballot measures are placed on the November 2020 ballot for a do over since we now have voters’ remorse.
The November 2020 Elections are very important to our cities, counties, states and our United States of America.
The American voters must choose between voting for a Conservative President Donald Trump, who has helped Americans keep their jobs and have increased their monthly income or a Socialist President Bernie Sanders who wants to give our hard earned income to people who want “freebees”, or maybe retired Vice President Joe Biden, who has health issues and baggage of his own with son Hunter Biden getting paid an income for sitting on several Boards of Overseas Companies. Was Hunter was granted these jobs because his daddy was Vice President?
It is time that all people are reminded there is nothing is for free and everything must be paid for by the American taxpayers.
Already we American taxpayers pay for free education from Preschool through High School to provide our young Americans with a good and basic education.
Our Public Libraries are free and opened to all of the residents living in our area.
Most Americans are very generous with their time and their money. We want to be able to provide for our family and friends. We have worked and are now retired or are still working to help keep a roof over our heads, food on our tables, our bills paid and our children educated.
Most Americans were taught responsibility as children. You are responsible for your actions. You are responsible to pay for your own way in life.
Yet we have several generations of American who want all of us to support them and their families because they feel that they deserve to be taken care of “from the womb to their tomb”.
Some people want Bernie Sanders as their president and live in a Socialist America. They seem to believe that all of the rich people that include our middle class should pay to support them.
Are these people ready to give up their personal freedoms to live under Socialism?
“The term socialism refers to any system in which the production and distribution of goods and services is a shared responsibility of a group of people. Socialism is based upon economic and political theories that advocate for collectivism. In a state of socialism, there is no privately owned property.”
I believe that every man, woman and child living in our America should be reminded that they are responsible for their actions. They must take advantage our free education from Preschool to High School. They should attend college or a trade school if they want to advance their education. They must learn to be self-supporting and take care of themselves and their families. They should try to make life better for the next generation.
Our American Dream requires that families work together to ensure that their children are well educated and ready to face their future in our America, the best country in the world.
Our United States of America is a crossroads in 2020.
Do we want to live in a free country where the American taxpayers pay to support our military, our first responders, our education system, our religious freedoms and our person freedoms that are part of our American Dream?
Do we want to live in a Socialist American where all of our personal property, our personal funds, our religious freedoms and our very dreams do not belong to us? Why should we vote to let our America become a Socialist country?
History has proven that Socialist or Communist countries do not support their people. Their people flee to our America for a better way of life.
Generations of people immigrated to the United States of America to enjoy our God given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Generations of American have fought and some of them have died to protect our United States of America.
Our votes in November 2020 will decide on the future of our United States of America.
The future is up to us the voters of our United States of America.
