Happy New Year!

2018 is a new year, which promises to bring us great joy, good health and maybe great wealth.

2018 is a new year when people can decide to help improve the quality of life for themselves, their families, their friends and everyone else in our world.

Or 2018 can be a year of hate, lies, wars and mayhem.

The choice is ours to make.

Do you listen and believe the propaganda being reported by the mainstream media, or on peoples’ twitter accounts and the so-called specialists who have decided that their political or social outlook is gospel?

If you don’t fall into their category of life they are preaching that you should be ashamed of your race, your religion, your education, your financial status, your gender and your sexual preference.

These people are climbing on the bandwagon to try to shame everyone who doesn’t agree with them.

Several cases come to mind: #METOO Movement and TIMESUP Movement are bringing sexual harassment into focus.  They seem to think that women are the only victims of these events.

What about the men, the children, the elderly and people of a different sexual preference who also suffer at the hands of people in power like family members, friends, elected officials or strangers?

If these entertainers and their friends really what to make changes they should speak up for all of the victims of rape, child abuse, elder abuse and spousal abuse.

I believe these woman who are accusing men of harassing them should have reported these abuses to the police at the time and not wait until later.

These movements: #METOO and TIMESUP may have set back the clock to a time when the “Victim asked for it” mentality since they did not report the situation at the time of the crime.

I believe that their course of action will make it harder for a woman, a man or a child to file a police report when they are raped, beaten or abused.

I fear that the victim many feel that no one believes them so they will not take legal action against their attacker because of many false allegations reported in the media.

I hope and pray that the 2018 will be a year of success for everyone.

I think that every voter in the United States of America should look across party lines and judge their next elected officials based on what the have done or pledge do for their fellow Americans.

Our elected officials have the power to vote for what is best for US Americans and not what is best for other countries and their citizens.

Please study the candidates’ histories or resumes in your districts and make the right choice for you, your families, your friends, your cities, your counties, your state and our America.

2018 is going to be a year of changes and challengers for our America and our world.

I have faith that we continue to keep our America “The Land of the Free” and “The Home of the Brave”.
