Open Letter to all California Elected Officials

Open Letter to all California Elected Officials

I understand that each of you took this oath of office when you were elected into your current office: “I, _YOUR NAME_______________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties upon which I am about to enter.”

You promised to protect us from all enemies on the date you were sworn into office but some of you have now decided that because your candidate lost the November election that you will try to destroy our President Donald Trump, our US Constitution and our country.

Many of you elected officials have voted to or want to vote to become part of he sanctuary movement in our cities, our counties, and our school districts and may be our state.

Have you asked yourselves what benefits you could lose from our federal government?

Are you ready to support your cities, your counties, your school districts and our state without the generous federal funds paid to us based on the 2010 Census count?

Can everyone living in our California afford to be without police and fire protection, military protection, funds paid to our schools and hospitals just to name a few of our many federal benefits?

Governor Jerry Brown stated in his 2017-18 Budget: “The Budget also assumes the continuation of existing federal fiscal policy. The incoming presidential administration and leaders in Congress have suggested major changes to Medicaid, trade and immigration policy, and the federal tax structure. Many of the proposed changes could have serious and detrimental effects on the state’s economy and budget. At this point, it is not clear what those changes will be or when they will take effect.”

Our California needs our federal funds based on the Governor’s budget.

So please explain to us, the California voters and taxpayers, why you, as elected officials, are violating your oath of office?

Your actions will be reported to all of us by the news media so we, the California taxpaying voters, can decide if we want you to continue to serve as our elected officials on Election Day.

Sincerely,
