Monterey Park’s residents may very well be facing new problems beginning with the construction of a new housing development by the Olson building Corporation. The location of this sight will be on Potrero Grande!  This area has always been considered as our business district.

In addition it is also occupied by the Edison Company!  Frankly, it really is not a pleasant or a safe place for young families to reside!

Monterey Park city council may also find themselves facing additional financial problems, such as, the need for new sewer lines, etc.  All the above, plus the most important issue, is the safety of the new residents have to be seriously considered. Potrero Grande has a continuous on going traffic situation! It is noisy there, as well as, from the nearby 60 freeway!

Well, we did have the chance to say “no” to this situation!  Unfortunately, the residents of this city will have to rise up and try to make sure that either we fire our uncaring city council or reconsider our voters to demand a recount including all our voters get out and next time vote sensibly!
