MONTEREY PARK ROTARY DONATES TO MERCI CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

Monterey Park, CA—August 20th the Monterey Park Rotary donated $1700 to MERCI’s Capital Campaign and made a pledge to donate $1700 a year for the next two years. MERCI, which is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing services to the developmentally disabled population of the East Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley areas. MERCI has a $50,000 challenge grant from the Rose Hills Foundation to help build a new group home. The deadline to meet the match is December 1, 2009. This donation from Rotary brings the total raised to $23,755. Anyone wanting to donate to MERCI’s Capital Campaign needs to call Marta Escañuelas at (626) 289-8817.
