Easter Egg Hunt

Egg1

The Easter Bunny visited with Monterey Park Mayor Pro Tem Hans Liang, members of the Fire Department and guests at the annual Egg Hunt held at the City Hall on April 19.  The LAMP Optimist Club and the City of Monterey Park sponsored the event.

LAMP President Sam Luk welcomed everyone to this special event for tots to 11 years of age.  He explained that the grounds were separated into three groups so children in each age group would have a chance to pick up eggs in their hands. No baskets were allowed. He reminded the children to wait to open their 1,000 candy filled eggs until they had collected all of them since 17 lucky eggs had a red raffle ticket. The children who had the lucky tickets are winners of several beautiful Easter baskets donated by club members and other service clubs. He thanked the many sponsors and student volunteers for their assistance in making this a wonderful event.
