Save the Date: Empty Bowls 2014 is April 26

Buy a bowl. Sip some soup. Help homeless families.

The community is invited to Family Promise of San Gabriel Valley’s 3rd annual Empty Bowls fundraising event on Saturday, April 26, to help homeless families.

Participants can buy a beautifully handcrafted ceramic bowl donated by local potters and then fill those bowls with delicious soup donated by area restaurants. This year, participants can choose their bowls directly from the potters who will be on hand to display their works. The potters will also have other ceramic works for sale in an Artists’ Village.

Tickets are $30 in advance by April 25 or $35 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at http://bit.ly/FamilyPromiseSGVEmptyBowls2014. All proceeds will go to Family Promise, a nonprofit organization that works with local churches to provide homeless families with temporary shelter and meals while helping them find housing and employment to regain their independence.
