Celebrating the Arrival of the Beatles to California 45 Years Ago to the Day
The Debut of American English and Southern California
L.A. Media Group, The Queen Mary, K-EARTH 101, American English (The Ultimate
Beatles Tribute), Sam Leach (Beatles Promoter), Eastern Group Publications, Governor
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Long Beach Mayor Bob Foster, NASCAR, Hooters,
Rickenbacker, will be welcoming all Beatles fans to the festival. Forty-five years ago the
Fab Four came to America and performed the never-ending story as Beatles fans continue
to purchase Beatles music and memorabilia at a surprising rate. The Beatles fans are of
all ages as Beatles music continues to be played by all, even on Radio Disney.
Beatles Festival 2009 will be a free event to the public which will include, Beatles music
a1l weekend, memorabilia, photo displays, Beatles haircuts, movies, karaoke, photo
opportunities, and the history of the Beatles. The grounds at the Queen Mary will
virtually be turned into a Beatles theme park including a 100% of the proceeds silent
auction or Saturday & Sunday to benefit the Bob Hope USO at LAX and the Mark
Daniels Music Foundation, (keeping the music in the community.)
During the weekend activities the site will include a Guitar Hero competition, a Yellow
Submarine Kids Zone, The Octopuses Beer Garden, live radio personalities, food and
much more.
The State of California, along with local government and 15 countries (so far) have
committed to present a proclamation to the Beatles honoring them on their success,
continued support of non-profit groups and the overall contribution of music to the
world or so many years.
The second coming of the Beatles, American English will perform on Saturday night, as
they will make their Southern California debut. Beatles promoter Sam Leach endorses
American English and Paul McCartney has recognized them as one of his favorites
tributes.
The event will take place on Saturday through Sunday August 21-23, 2009 from 1p.m.-8p.m. with a life concert of American English at 9p.m.
