San Gabriel Mission’s Christian Service distributed large food boxes and toys to more than 150 area families for Christmas.

San Gabriel Mission’s Christian Service volunteers prepared food boxes and new toys for distribution a few days before Christmas to area individuals and families in need who registered no later than Dec. 18.

San Gabriel Mission was founded on Sept. 8, 1771 as the fourth oldest of 21 missions
in California.  The Roman Catholic parish has more than 40 active groups with a
language in either English, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Tagalog (Filipino) or Vietnamese.
