Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy
Are You Seeking the Secret to Health, Youth, Happiness, and Boundless Energy?
Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in LA’s Anniversary Celebrations Last to the End of Sept.
The Secret Lies in the Banquet and Micro-Movie Nights at the Academy
Can practicing qigong truly help one stay healthy and young? The answer can be found in Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in Los Angeles’ 13th anniversary celebrations. Dr. Anyork Lee, former President of CAAM (California Alliance of Acupuncture Medicine) and current director of Alhambra Medical University Clinic, wore an angry facemask when he appeared in front of the audience and then took it off. The mask represented what he used to look like. After practicing qigong at Tai Ji Men for two years, he has become not only healthier but also more peaceful and happier. One of his patients even mistook him as his son because he now looks much younger than before.
Cici and Polly Han, who are sisters and Tai Ji Men members, followed their mother to immigrate to the U.S. 15 years ago. At the time, Cici was already in high school and had a hard time adapting herself to the new environment. Thankfully, practicing Tai Ji Men Qigong has allowed her to stay energetic and calm; therefore, she was able to overcome various challenges and even earned a master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Design. Dr. Lee, Cici Han, and Polly Han all found the secret to staying young, healthy, and happy at Tai Ji Men.
The fun, energizing performance of the “Happy Band,” composed of a group of young Tai Ji Men members, kicked off the anniversary celebrations. The band’s abundant happy energy galvanized the entire audience. Additionally, three groups of Tai Ji Men members presented three musical shows depicting the busy lives of students, people who work, and retirees respectively. The performers showed how they found the energy of joy and how that energy enabled them to turn their hectic and stressful days into cheerful ones. Now leading a healthy and merry life, they have started to spread their positive energy all around them. No wonder Congressman Ed Royce, after watching the performances, remarked that he could feel the endless energy emitted from Tai Ji Men members of all ages and that the event was filled with love and peace. Mr. Howard Wang, former associate vice president at California State University, Fullerton and current member of the Board of Directors of the Chinese American Association of Walnut, also stated that he felt deeply touched by the joy and peace radiated from Tai Ji Men members. Other honored guests included Ms. Ivy Kuan, president of the Chinese American Association of Walnut, Ms. Mary Ng, vice president of the Chinese American Association of Walnut, Director Yun-Gong Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles, Mr. Nelson Huang, Chair and President of APAPA-SCR, and Mrs. Huang.
