GLORIA ING TO ADDRESS THE EAST LOS ANGELES-MONTEBELLO BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN ABOUT THE GLASS CEILING

At the Wednesday, September 25th East Los Angeles-Montebello Business and Professional Women (BPW) dinner meeting, Attorney Gloria Ing will talk about the “Glass Ceiling” and how it may have affected her and other women. The dinner meeting will be at the Doubletree Hotel, 888 Montebello Blvd., Rosemead. Networking is at 4:30 P.M. with the dinner and meeting starting at 5:00 P.M. The meeting is open to the public. Ing graduated from California Polytechnic University and from Loyola Law School. She passed the California bar in 1988 and has been a senior attorney for Southern California Edison for the past 25 years. Ing serves on Edison’s Diversity Committee to encourage educational opportunities for the youth in the field of law. She has coached a Mock Trial team at Monterey Highlands, allowing students to compete as lawyers, arguing cases in front of actual judges from the Los Angeles Superior Court. An active member of the Monterey Highlands Elementary School and Mark Keppel High School Parent Teacher Student Association, she has dedicated her time to support the success of students. She organized and started an Academic Decathlon competition for students in kindergarten through 8th grade at Monterey Highlands Elementary School. In 2010 State Senator Gloria Romero recognized Ing one of her State Senate’s Women of the Year. Ing has been married to Monterey Park cialis pharmacy Councilmember and former Mayor for 25 years. They have two children. Together she and her husband have raised more than $50,000 in scholarships for high school seniors at Mark Keppel, Schurr and Garfield High Schools.

The Glass Ceiling exists in most fields and has held women back in advancement. The Business and Professional Women work to eliminate the Glass Ceiling and other impediments to the advancement of women.
