Monday Night Basic Computer Classes in Spanish
September Monday night computer classes in Spanish are scheduled for September 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 7 pm in the computer lab located on the second floor of the library. To register for the free classes call the Reference Desk at (626) 307-1368.
Tuesday Night Open Computer Lab
Adults wanting to practice computer skills can join the open computer lab on Tuesday evenings in September from 7:00-8:30 pm in the computer lab. Thursday Morning Basic Computer Classes in English

Artists of the Month: The Taiwanese American Art Association
The public is invited to meet artists from The Taiwanese American Art Association at an opening art reception on Sunday, September 8 at 2 pm in the Friends Room. The Association’s artwork will be featured in an exhibit called “Making a Difference” throughout the months of September and October at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library. Hispanic Heritage Month Program
Film Screening of Rudolfo Anaya’s Best Known Work
Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15-October 15 by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the library will screen two film programs that reflect Hispanic culture. On Sunday, September 29 at 2 pm, Rudolfo Anaya’s bestselling book turned into film will be shown in the Friends Room. The film set in the rural Southwest during the 1940’s tells the story of a young boy living in a small town in New Mexico as he faces the challenges of his family, good and evil, life and death, his spiritual beliefs and destiny.
