Assemblymember Chau convenes 49th District Consumer Assistance Fair
Assemblymember Ed Chau convened the first ever Consumer Assistance Fair for residents of the 49th District on Saturday, May 18th at Mark Keppel High School. The event, which drew strong interest from the public, brought together service providers representing social services, workforce development and employment assistance, utilities, water, student financial aid, recreational and phone services.
“Although many consumer services may be accessed by the public via the internet, there is no better method of communicating with consumers than live interaction,” said Assemblymember Chau. “I applaud and thank all of the service providers for still believing in the importance of face to face interaction and ensuring that everyone in our community has an opportunity to receive information for services that can impact the quality of their lives.”
