SOROPTIMIST SPEAKERS PROGRAM FOR FEBRUARY
Soroptimist International of Alhambra San Gabriel San Marino will have noted speakers at the club’s Tuesday meetings in January 12:15 at Almansor Court, 700 South Almansor in Alhambra at the Municipal Golf Course. Lunch is $12. Everyone is welcome.
On February 12, Peggy Park Bernal will talk about “What is Ephemera and Why Does the Huntington Library Collect It?” Bernal was the director of the Huntington Library Press overseeing the publication of many award-winning books, and is now an Independent Scholar working on the Ephemera collection.
On February 19, Officer Sharon Williams of the Alhambra Police Department will give a “Community Update.” Williams is the Crime Prevention Specialist who oversees several outreach and educational programs, and the Citizens on Patrol volunteers.
