HISTORICAL RESOURCES IN L.A. COUNTY

The Alhambra Historical Society will join with four other historical societies for their Sixth Annual Joint Dinner Meeting on Thursday March 14 at 5 p.m. in the Padillo Room of the Grapevine next to the Mission Playhouse, 324 South Mission Drive in San Gabriel. Portia Sanders, Division Manager, Public Records, Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder / County Clerk will talk about historical resources available.

Sanders oversees the operation of the Birth, Death and Marriage Records, Indexing, and Real Estate Records Sections, which includes six satellite offices. She has been with the County for twenty-seven years, and has a degree in Psychology from Cal State, Domingues Hills.

The evening starts at 5 p.m. with bingo, dinner at 6 p.m., and the program at 7 p.m. The program at 7 p.m. is free to the public, if space is available.

Dinner includes salad, tamales, chile relleno, rice, beans, salsa, chips, flan and beverage for only $12. Door prizes are available to paid dinner ticket attendees. Deadline is Monday, March 11. Make checks payable to Alhambra Historical Society Museum and mail to 1550 West Alhambra Road, Alhambra CA 91801.

The Historical Societies of Temple City, San Gabriel, Rosemead, and the Ramona Museum of California History will join with the Alhambra Historical Society for this tasty dinner and excellent program.
