Meeting of Museums
San Gabriel – San Gabriel Mission has responded to requests to again host a meeting of area museum and historical places so employees and volunteers can discuss and share about topics of interest.
San Gabriel Mission’s Second Meeting of Museums and Historical Places is planned for Saturday,
July 11.
The free event will start at 10 a.m. at San Gabriel Mission Museum entrance at mission’s gift shop with a brief guided tour of the mission and grounds, and then continue until approximately 12:30 p.m.
in a meeting room in mission’s Parish Center. Attendees then can visit an area restaurant in the mission district for lunch on their own or they can bring their lunch and picnic at the mission, and then visit the mission museum and gardens on their own in the afternoon. Free refreshments at the meeting will be provided by San Gabriel Mission Gift Shop.
Ramona Museum of California History in the mission district at 1:30 p.m. will host a free training session about how to be successful with a museum booth or display at public events, and offer for attendees to see the Ramona Museum for free.
Organizations that register in advance for this meeting are asked to send one membership brochure and one flyer of one of their activities so the material can be copied and placed in a folder for each attendee to receive at check in on July 11. Any employee or volunteer age 17 or younger must have a parent or an adult guardian with them at the event.
