Art in a Bottle
Guang Xue Cai, a well-known artist from China recently visited the United States of America. Mr. Cai paints inside a bottle or globe.
He prepares with interior surface by sanding it down to hold the paint or uses an oil base paint for his background.
Mr. Cai uses an angular brush with fine wolf hair to draw his subjects in oil and before completing them in watercolors. This art technique is called “Surface Artistic Painting” which was started in China over 200 years ago.
He stated that this type of art requires patience, a steady hand and good vision. He learned it from masters of the art after he graduated from the Hebei Teacher’s University Fire Arts Department in 1990.
Mr. Cai said he combined his education with bouncy castle for sale this art form to provide beautiful artwork that includes decorative perfume bottles, Christmas decorations, decorative bottles and celebration globes. Most of the art projects take up to six hours to complete.
He teaches this unique artwork and manufactures them with his students in China.
Mr. Cai has had numerous personal exhibits in the United States, Thailand and the Philippines and won several awards.
He was selected by Coca Cola Asia to produce promotional items for the Beijing Olympics.
Since 2001 he has performed and exhibited his artwork by invitation from the International Arts Festival at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.
Mr. Cai’s artwork will be exhibited and sold at the Los Angeles Gift Show from July 17 – 20 at Booth 1222. He stated that he would consider special requests of pictures to be painted in a bottle or globe.
