Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library to Offer “Dream Big, Read!” Children’s Summer Reading Program

Young readers are encouraged to expand their reading horizons as the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library presents “Dream Big, Read!” during the Summer Reading Program June 25th to August 2nd.

The 2012 Summer Reading Program is open to children (infants through 6th grade) and offers prizes such as t-shirts, LEGOLAND and TOGO’S coupons, story times, crafts, movies, incentives, and other programs to promote reading while helping children maintain or improve their skills during the summer break.

Preregistration for the “Dream Big, Read!” Summer Reading Program begins June 18th in the Children’s Department. A special kick-off program featuring Craig Newton’s “Really Big Musical Show” will take place on June 25th at 3:00 p.m. in the Friends Room of the library. All activities during the Summer Reading Program are free of charge but some programs may require preregistration.

The Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library is the City’s public library located at 318 South Ramona Avenue, Monterey Park, CA 91754.
