The Year of the Dragon Brings Blessings to All

The Year of the Dragon Brings Blessings to All
Tai Ji Men Dizi of All Ages Send Their Love and Best Wishes to All Through a Cheerful Song “What a Bright World!”
On the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, World Daily News held a grand Chinese New Year celebration event on Garvey Ave in the City of Monterey Park which boasted more than 100 booths featuring Chinese food and activities. In addition to Dragon dance, martial arts performances, and folk dance, the organizer of the event also invited Tai Ji Men Qi Gong Academy to give three performances: “Powerful Unifying Drums,” delivered by a group of children and teenagers; energizing “Energy Boys and Energy Girls,” delivered by young Tai Ji Men dizi; and an upbeat and joyful song “What a Bright World,” performed by Tai Ji Men dizi, young and old.
Tai Ji Men is an ancient menpai of qigong, martial arts, and self cultivation that places great emphasis preserving traditional Chinese culture. Each year during the Chinese New Year holidays, Tai Ji Men presents cultural performances containing the essence of traditional Chinese culture. One Tai Ji Men member, seven-year-old Katlyn Sha was born in the U.S. and before joining didn’t know much about Chinese culture.  However, through the practice of beating the Tai Ji Men Drum, she gets to learn traditional Chinese culture in a happy and natural way. She was especially happy that she got to inspire the audience with her happy energy through the energetic drum performance.
“What a Bright World” was presented by a group of Tai Ji Men dizi, whose ages ranged from 17 to 70. They sang this cheerful and peaceful song to spread their loving energy to the audience and purify their hearts.  They wished for everyone to lead a happy life.  The words in the song are encouraging: “What a bright world, cause our hearts are together.  Let us unite, pass on our love!” Tai Ji Men dizi not only practice qigong and cultivate their hearts on a daily basis, but also learn the wisdom of yin and yang at Tai Ji Men.  This enables them to have happier personal and family lives and more successful careers. Among the singers is white-haired Chiu-Nan Lin, who is nearly 70 years old but looks radiant. It’s hard to imagine that he has undergone two open heart surgeries.  Practicing qigong and learning to be cheerful at Tai Ji Men has enabled him to rapidly restore his health.
The final performance was Energy Boys and Energy Girls’”Energy Dance,” which has been performed around the world and in the United Nations; their bright smiles and vitality brought powerful happy energy to the audience and livened up the event.  Under the guidance of Dr. Hong, these young Tai Ji Men dizi contribute to world peace and human rights development by taking part in events for public welfare and international meetings, such as the Annual UN/NGO Conference and International Conference of Chief Justices of the World. Additionally, they are also actively involved in community activities.  They have attended the Walnut Family Festival parade for years and won the first place in the service group category for two consecutive years. Among the Energy Girls is Eva Mao.  She came from Taiwan three years ago and is currently a junior at UC San Diego.  Rain or shine, every week she drives from San Diego to the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in Los Angeles.  She said that practicing Tai Ji Men Qigong not only helps her to stay healthy, but also enables her to remain positive when facing challenges in school and in her daily life.  Although studying far away from home means that she has to handle everything on her own, she has learned to be courageous and manage her time well.  She was very pleased that she had the opportunity to participate in today’s meaningful event.
In celebration of the New Year, Tai Ji Men also hosts Chinese New Year special programs on its website at www.taijimen.org to give its best wishes to the people of the world. You can visit the website to receive the happy and warm energy.  The inspirational programs cover many topics that concern today’s people, such as personal growth, parent-child relationships, marriage life, career, and health. The Tai Ji Men website has received more than 10,000,000 visits, and its influence has reached all over the world.  Currently, there is an activity of “Millions of Good Wishes: Using Good Thoughts to Improve the World” on the website.  You are cordially invited to make a good wish to encourage yourself and show your concern to others and the earth.  Tai Ji Men wishes that everyone can pass on the energy of happiness and welcome the Year of the Dragon with joy.
