Monterey Park Fire Department

Beginning the evening of November 30th and continuing through the morning of December 1, 2011, a strong wind event passed through the San Gabriel Valley affecting many of the Cities within the area and causing significant wide spread damage.

Monterey Park Fire units responded to 45 calls for service kids bounce house both in Monterey Park and in surrounding communities, as many Cities to the north including Pasadena, Monrovia and San Marino, suffered the brunt of the storm.

Within the City of Monterey Park neighborhoods on the southeastern Montebello border suffered power outages due to downed power lines and damaged transformers. The City’s Public Works department responded to 51 fallen tree calls, which damaged 3 vehicles.

There were no injuries reported due to the wind event.
