Historical Heritage Commission sponsors Halloween Home Decorating Contest
The Monterey Park Historical Heritage Commission announces their fifth annual Halloween Home Decorating Contest. Nominations for this contest will be held until Tuesday, October 25th at 5:00 p.m.
Residents of Monterey Park may nominate their own homes, or someone in the city that shows the Halloween Spirit! Categories this year include the “most effective use of lights”, “most scary inflables animated display” and “most original display”.
The Historical Heritage Commission will award a $50.00 gift certificate for the winner in each category. Judging will take place on Thursday, October 27th between the hours of 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
“It is amazing to see the effort that our residents put forth to decorate their homes and yards for Halloween” commented Edward Brogan, Chairman of the Historical Heritage Commission. “We felt that we should do a little something to recognize these families,” he added.
