Trees of Enchantment
Dear friend of MERCI
On Sunday, December 4, 2011, MERCI will be hosting its 22nd Annual Trees of Enchantment Brunch at Luminarias Restaurant in Monterey Park. An exciting way to bring in the holiday season, our Trees of Enchantment Brunch consists of raffling off 25 themed Christmas Trees, beautifully decorated and outfitted with donated gifts corresponding to that tree’s theme, valued at over $250 each.
MERCI is requesting your support of this exciting event, which typically attracts over 350 community members and generates an average of $15,000 for the organization. You can check out our Sponsorship Opportunities by clicking here to view our sponsorship form. Funds raised at our event go directly towards our various programs, allowing us to purchase program supplies, materials and training programs for our staff team.
This year, you can even pay for your company’s sponsorship, or buy tickets to the event, online here: http://merci.givezooks.com/events/2011-trees-of-enchantment-brunch
For over 56 years, MERCI has been a proud member of the community that provides services to adults with developmental disabilities in the San Gabriel Valley/East Los Angeles area. Our day program is geared towards empowering the developmentally disabled and endowing them with the skills necessary to live independently in the community. We operate a residential home that provides 24 hour specialized care to 6 adults in Monterey Park, as well as a mobile day program called DISCOVERY that visits the home of medically fragile individuals to provide them with services that would otherwise be unavailable to them.
On June 2, 2011, we broke ground on our new buildings. The residential home will be named “The John & Mary Duce Centre” and will be completed in Summer of 2013. These new buildings will house our administration offices, a 6-room group home facility, and will contain a separate multipurpose building where clients can learn to cook, participate in group projects, and more!
Your support would be greatly appreciated and would allow us to carry parc gonflable on the important work we do. To thank you for your participation, your company will be acknowledged in the Trees of Enchantment Program, to be circulated on the day of the event. MERCI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Federal Tax Id #95-2219917.
