Monterey Park Rotary, Winnes Wong CPA firm and Forbes KTV Restaurant and Bar in coordination with Top Entertainment are co-sponsoring the first Annual Talented Students’ Karaoke Singing Contest. Current college and high school students who are enrolled in colleges starting this fall are encouraged to enter this contest in order to win scholarship money for college. Entrants must be 18 years of age on or before August 13th and must submit an application http://www.forbesktv.com/files/application_form.pdf with $10 entrance fee by        August 10th. First prize is $3,000; 2nd prize is $2,000; 3rd place is $1,000; best performance is $500; most popular is $500. Audition rounds are Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th at 3:00 P.M. (both days) at Forbes KTV, 1536 Peck Road, South El Monte. The final round in the contest will be Friday, August 26th at 8:00 P.M. at Capital Seafood Restaurant, 755 W. Garvey Avenue, Monterey Park. Winners of the contest will have a chance to perform the following day (Saturday, August 27th) at the Pasadena City College, Sexson Auditorium. The winners will be performing with Donald Cheung and Rosanna Lui, who are on their 2011 Concert Tour.
