Re: Abandoned Shopping Cart – Request Review and Enforcement of City Code (Apr112009-01)

On behalf of the Monterey Park residents, I request immediate assistance and action from the Mayor of Monterey Park, City Council members, City Manager, Police Department, Code Enforcement office and Inflatable Water Slide Traffic Commission to review, and to enforce City Code (Chapter 9.75) on abandoned shopping carts that flooded our streets. Residents all voiced concerns and are frustrated by the massive number of shopping carts on the streets. It depressed the property value of our City. It created traffic hazard for both pedestrians and motorists.

Your immediate attention and action are greatly appreciated!
