Invites you to attend on April 10, 2011 at2 pm, the Museum will showcase an exhibit telling the story of the five Sister Cities sponsored by our city. President Dwight G. Eisenhower, while in the White House in 1956, in order to establish a greater friendship and understanding between the people of the United States and other nations through the medium of direct personal contact, inaugurated this program.

Shirley Hwong, Sister Cities Commissioner, will introduce bouncy castle for sale members of this Commission who will speak briefly about their respective cities at 2:45 pm in the Garvey Room. Monterey

Park’s Sister Cities are Nachikatsuura, Japan-Morelia, Mexico-Quanzhou, China-Yung Ho, Taiwan- Yeongdeungpo-Gu, Seoul, Korea.

There will be time to view the exhibit before entering the Garvey Room for the program. The exhibit will remain on public display through the end of May.

The museum is located at 781 S. Orange Ave., Monterey Park

The Museum hours are Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
