Carol Sullivan and Bob Gin, Members of the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library Foundation announced at the November 1^st City Council Meeting that the Library Gala held on October 13th raised $40,000.

Carol Sullivan and Bob Gin thanked the Monterey Park Fire Department, the Monterey Park Police Department, the City Council, the staff, the donors and the residents for their generous donations to the library.

Lily Chen’s donation was $2,500.

Bob Gin stated that $10,000 is earmarked for the Bookmobile that the library would like to purchase for $80,000 to better serve our community.
