Monster Mash
These monsters haunted Barnes Park in Monterey Park on October 20th when hundreds of residents of all ages dressed up to Trick or Treat at the many booths set up around the park.
Councilmember Peter Chan, Councilmember Yvonne Yiu, Mayor Henry Lo and City Clerk Vince Chang enjoyed our Halloween party.
There was Haunted House that was covered in blood with a dead body at the front door.
The city staff maned several booths that offered games like ring toss, toss the bag into the hole and many more games for children of all ages to enjoy. The prizes were candy.
The Monterey Park Woman’s Club and the Lions Club booths passed out candy to all guests that visited with them.
Jason Dhing dressed up as a lion because he is a member of our Lions Club.
Junior Friends of the Library helped to staff the booths and some of them dressed for the occasion.
Pete the Cat visited with his guests as Dinosaurs ran through the crowd.
Members of the Monterey Park Fire Department provided photo IDs for the children as well as candy.
Members of the Monterey Park Police Department provided paper badges, coloring books and more candy.
Jack the Skellington from “The Nightmare before Christmas” visited his friends and passed out candy canes to the guests.
Arty Loom performed several Magic Tricks to the delight of the audience.
Monterey Park city employees submitted their favorite pictures for me to publish that showed the wonderful creativity our residents and staff members.
Each city department purchased tons and tons of candy for this special event.
A very Happy Halloween was enjoyed by one and all in Monterey Park.
