Mayor Henry Lo welcomed the audience and the television viewers at home for joining him tonight October, 12 so he could advise them of the current state of our hometown in 2022.

He introduced Councilmember Peter Chan, Councilmember Yvonne Yiu, City Clerk Vince Chang, Thomas Wong from San Gabriel Valley Mutual Water District, Vinh Ngo, President  of the Garvey School Board, Aldo Arellano from Los Angeles County Assessor’s office and other guests to the audience.

He thanked our city staff for their hard work and support of Monterey Park.

He said that it is important to be here to be updated by the staff.

His report was a Power Point Production and the City Budget that can be viewed on the city’s website.

Also, this Special Meeting was broadcasted on the city television station.

Henry Lo reminded the audience that Measure MP will raise our sales tax from 9.50% to 10.25%  that would provide our hometown with an additional $6 million to pay for our city services.
