EAST LOS ANGELES-MONTEBELLO BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN TO LEARN ABOUT THE SEVEN PROPOSITIONS ON THE NOVEMBER BALLOT
Sally McMahon, California Federation of Business and Professional Women’s (CFBPW) Clubs’ Bill Screening Committee, will give an overview of the seven Propositions on the November ballot at the East Los Angeles-Montebello Business and Professional Women meeting Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at the Library Room, Marie Callender’s Restaurant, 220 S. Atlantic Blvd., Monterey Park (Networking starts at 4:30 p.m. with dinner to be before 5:00 p.m.). Attendees will be able to order off the menu. The November Propositions include a constitutional amendment (Proposition 1) to provide the right to reproductive freedom plus six citizen-initiated measures: Proposition 26 legalization of sports betting on tribal lands; Proposition 27 mobile sports betting,
Proposition 28 dialysis clinic requirements, Propositions 29 K-12 art and music education funding, Proposition 30 income tax to fund zero-emission vehicles projects and Proposition 31 a ban on flavored tobacco products.
