MERCI
October 15, 2010
Dear Friend of MERCI,
On Sunday, December 5, 2010, MERCI will be hosting its 21” Annual Trees of Enchantment Brunch at Luminarias Restaurant in Monterey Park. An exciting way to bring in the holiday season, our Trees of Enchantment Brunch consists of raffling off 25 themed Christmas Trees, beautifully decorated and outfitted with donated gifts corresponding to that tree’s theme.
MERCI is requesting your support as a Sponsor of our event, which typically attracts over 350 members of our community, and generates an average of $15,000 for the
organization. Funds raised at our event go directly towards our various programs, allowing us to purchase program supplies, materials and training programs for our staff team.
MERCI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Federal Tax Id #95-2219917, that provides services to adults with developmental disabilities in the San Gabriel Valley/East Los Angeles area. We operate a residential home that provides 24 hour specialized care to 6 adults in Monterey Park. In addition, we operate a mobile day program called DISCOVERY that visits the home of medically fragile individuals to provide them with services that would otherwise be unavailable to them. Our day program inflatable water slide is geared towards empowering the developmentally disabled and endowing them with the skills necessary to live independently in the community. This includes tasks as basic as shopping for groceries to more complex skills such as enrolling for college.
For over 55 years, MERCI has been a proud member of the community and will continue its mission of helping to enrich the lives of the developmentally disabled. Your support would be greatly appreciated and would allow us to carry on the important work we do. To thank you for your participation, your company will be acknowledged in the Trees of Enchantment Program, to be circulated on the day of the event.
