On November 9, 2010 at 6:24 PM, the Monterey Park Fire Department responded to 521 Unit “B” N. Huntington Dr. for a structure fire at a condominium complex.

Monterey Park Fire units with the assistance of Alhambra Fire Department responded to the incident.

Upon arrival Monterey Park Fire units found a well-involved garage fire. Units found smoke and flames coming from the garage and adjoining condominium.

Firefighters made forcible entry into the garage and inflatable water slide residence, performed search and rescue and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.

The initial cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. The total fire loss is being placed at three hundred and fifty thousand dollars, ($350,000), for the structure and contents.
