Rosemead High School

Host Rosemead High School and Arroyo split  their boys and girls varsity track and field dual meet with Rosemead winning boys varsity 107-29 and Arroyo winning girls varsity 91-41.

Rosemead boys went undefeated at 6-0 to win Mission Valley League Championship while Arroyo finished 3-3 in league.

Rosemead was led by Justin Montejo who won three events, high jump (5’4”), long jump (20’6”), and triple jump (38’3”). Teammate Derek Du won the 100 (11.03) and 200 meters (24.2) races.

Arroyo boys top performers were Victor Carillo who won the 1,600 meters (4:52), placed second in the 800 meters (2:13) and tied for second in the 3,200 meters, and Aaron Olvera who won the 110 meters high hurdles (17.5), got second in the 300 meters hurdles and third in the triple jump.

Arroyo girls were led by Amelia Rivas who won three events, the 400 meters (1:05), high jump (4’8”), and triple jump (31′0”). Teammates Vivian Ton and Tiffany Ton won first and second places in the 1,600 meters and 800 meters, and ran the fastest legs to help Arroyo win the 4 x 400 meters relay.

Rosemead girls were led by Faith Adidjaja who won the discus (111’10”) and won the shot put (32’3”). Adidjaja is ranked second in girls discus in San Gabriel Valley.

Arroyo girls finished 6-0 as undefeated league champions and Rosemead finished in third place (4-2).
