YVONNE NG TO SPEAK TO EAST LOS ANGELES-MONTEBELLO BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN ABOUT THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF THE WEST SAN GABRIEL VALLEY AND THE EASTSIDE

Montebello, CA—Yvonne Ng, Senior Director of Operations for the Boys and Girls Club of the West San Gabriel Valley and the Eastside, will talk about the Boys and Girls Club and their programs at the meeting of the East Los Angeles-Montebello Business and Professional Women on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 starting at 5:00 P.M. via Zoom. The program is open to all interested people, but reservations are required to get the Zoom link. The Boys and Girls Club of the West San Gabriel Valley and Eastside was formed in 1972 under the leadership of their founder Dr. Friedrich Thomas. Realizing there was no place for his own children to participate in after-school activities, Dr. Thomas helped start the club by donating the building and providing seed money to initiate club programming.

Yvonne Ng studied Business Management at Long Beach Community College and California State University, Long Beach. She has been with the Boys and Girls Club Movement since 1997 when she began as an assistant in the Boys and Girls Clubs of America regional office in Long Beach. She worked her way up to Regional Service Coordinator and eventually to Manager of Business Operations for the Pacific Region, which includes California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Hawaii, and Alaska. Ng managed all non-federal grants, regional conferences and events, regional training, board conferences, resource development, human resources, accounting and compliance. She joined the team at Boys and Girls Club of West San Gabriel Valley in 2015 where she manages business and operations for the Club.

Ng is active in the community being a member of Monterey Park Rotary including serving at least two terms as President. She will again serve as President in July. She is also an active member of East Los Angeles-Montebello Business and Professional Women serving as Nominations Chair.
