At the Tuesday, February 15 in-person City Council Meeting at the Mission Playhouse, Ms. Carina Rivera and Mr. John Wu were sworn in as the newest Council Members for the City of San Gabriel.

Vice Mayor Ding, Councilmember Harrington, Councilwoman Menchaca and the City staff warmly welcomed Councilwoman Rivera and Councilmember Wu to the San Gabriel team.

They will fill Council seats vacated by former Councilmember Jason Pu, who resigned in

January 2022, and former Mayor Chin Ho Liao, who resigned in February 2022. Rivera

and Wu were sworn in at the February 15 City Council meeting and will serve out the

remainder of Liao and Pu’s terms through November 2022.
