City of Monterey Park Distributes At-home COVID-19 Tests Donated by Supervisor Hilda Solis

Thanks to a generous donation from Supervisor Hilda Solis, the City of Monterey Park was able to offer approximately 290 free at-home COVID-19 tests to its residents. Due to limited number of these tests that became available, the City of Monterey Park identified at-risk residents who would most benefit from these free tests. At this time, all 290 tests have been distributed.

With the current COVID-19 variant Omicron reaching high levels of infection, it is important to be vigilant with regards to following appropriate protocols to keep yourself safe as well as your family. One of the things we can do to keep safe is to receive a COVID-19 test should you feel you have been exposed to someone infected with the virus. The City of Monterey Park has been very proactive in not only conducting vaccination clinics but also in hosting testing sites throughout the city. It is not always easy or convenient to make it to one of these sites as the lines can often be very long.

Standard public PCR testing continues to be available in the City of Monterey Park at Barnes Park (350 S. McPherrin Avenue, Monterey Park, CA 91754) on Saturdays from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; or at Langley Senior Center (400 W Emerson Avenue, Monterey Park, CA 91754), Wednesday through Monday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Both locations do not require appointments, but pre-registration is suggested via covid19.lacounty.gov/testing. Should you have any questions about these two public sites, please contact the Monterey Park Fire Department at 626-307-1423.
