SAN GABRIEL POST 442 TO HOST THEIR 2010 BOYS STATERS

San Gabriel Post 442, The American Legion, will host the annual “Early Bird” membership dinner at Denny’s Restaurant in Rosemead on Tuesday, November 9^th.  Dinner is at 6:00 p.m. with the meeting following.   Students from area schools that were sponsored by the Post to the 2010 session of California Boys State have been invited with their parents to the event, and will report on their activities at Boys State last June at California State University, Sacramento.  Expected to attend are Andrew Garcia of South Pasadena and Peter Orme of Sierra Madre (Maranatha), Derrick Chan and Tommy Sy (Rosemead), Alex Shumate of Altadena and Tony Messina-Doerning of San Gabriel (La Salle).  Girls Stater Melody Wang of San Marino sponsored by the Post to the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State 2011 session at McKenna College, Claremont, will report as well. Other special guests will be American Legion District 18 Commander Gil Cardoza of Hacienda Heights, 1^st Vice Commander Lou Dominguez of Ontario and 2^nd Vice Commander Scott Sinclair of Arcadia. Members of both the Legion and the Auxiliary always look forward to this opportunity to hear first hand about the Boys State and the Agriculture & Natural Resources programs of The American Legion and the Girls State program of the American Legion Auxiliary.
