Electronically Serving Monterey Park, Alhambra, San Gabriel, & Rosemead

Free Toilet Giveaway

Residents who pay their water bill to the City of Monterey Park will have another opportunity to exchange their older, water-guzzling toilets that average five to seven gallons per flush (this includes the toilets that use 3.5 gallons per flush) for NEW AND IMPROVED ultra-low flush toilets that use only 1.6 gallons of water per flush. Each fixture saves between 10,000 and 23,000 gallons annually, according to manufacturers, and can reduce household water bills by as much as 25%.

On Saturday, April 4th from 10 am -3 pm, water customers who live in Inflatable Water Slide Monterey Park can obtain a FREE water efficient toilet by bringing their water bill and photo identification to Mark Keppel High School located at 501 E. Hellman Avenue in Alhambra. Please do not bring old toilets on the day of the new toilet distribution. Athletic groups from Alhambra High School and Mark Keppel High School will assist residents with the application process and guide vehicles through the parking lot. This is a drive-thru event-residents will stay in their cars while students load the FREE toilets into their vehicles. Quantities are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis!

Water customers will have two weeks to install their new toilets and on Saturday, April 18 old toilets must be returned to the same location. NO EXCEPTIONS! Items such as wax ring, bolts, and installation information will be included with the water efficient toilets.
