Assemblymember Ed Chau Statement on being appointed Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge
On November 29, Assemblymember Ed Chau (D – Monterey Park) released the following statement upon being informed today that he was appointed to serve as a Judge in the Los Angeles County Superior Court by Governor Gavin Newsom:
“I would like to thank Governor Newsom for appointing me to serve as a Judge in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Representing the 49th Assembly District as an Assemblymember for the past nine years has been a true honor and privilege. I am very proud of the work and accomplishments that my team and I have achieved in serving our constituents. I will certainly miss working alongside my colleagues and all of the dedicated staff that comprise our Legislature, and look forward to joining the Judicial Branch.”
Assemblymember Chau represents the 49th Assembly District, comprised of the communities of Alhambra, Arcadia, El Monte, Monterey Park, Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Marino, Temple City and portions of Montebello and South El Monte.
