HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND THE ALHAMBRA FIREFIGHTERS
The Alhambra Historical Society’s program meeting on Wednesday, September 22, at 7:30 p.m. will feature Brad Case who will talk about the volunteer projects the Alhambra firefighters have participated in through the years, including the renovation of the Historical Society Museum, to be held at the Masonic Center, 9 West Woodward, corner of First Street, in Alhambra.
Case, a twenty‑year veteran of the Alhambra Fire Department, is a Fire Engineer / Paramedic, and the Department’s historian.
Museum Director Rose Marie Markus encourages everyone to bring memorabilia, photos, and even toys related to fire departments and the firefighting profession to the meeting. “This is for our `Show and Tell,’ and your chance to share your treasures and collections. We have tables set up to display the items so that bouncy castle for sale others can view them. This is a part of each of our informative meetings, and adds so much to the evening,” she said.
The meeting is free and open to everyone, and refreshments will be served.
