On December 7  Congressman-Elect Darrell Issa’s office released the following important information Monday, concerning Military Academy Nominations for District 50 residents:

“CA – 50 residents seeking a nomination to The United States Military Academy, The United States Naval Academy, The United States Air Force Academy, The United States Coast Guard Academy, or The United States Merchant Marine Academy, should email their application to issaacademynominations@gmail.com

The submission deadline is January 13th.

Because the District has been vacant this year, and only a sitting Congressman can submit nominations, if you submitted an application to the 50th Congressional District staff in 2020, you will need to resend it via the email above.

After Congressman Issa is sworn in on January 3rd, his staff will also be able to assist with further questions.”

Issa has served as a member of the United States House of Representatives since 2001. He was the Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Reform from 2011-2015. Darrell Issa is the Congressman-elect for California’s 50th Congressional District. The District encompasses the central and northeastern parts of San Diego County and a small part of Riverside County. It includes all or portions of the communities of Fallbrook, San Marcos, Valley Center, Ramona, Escondido, Santee, Lakeside, El Cajon, Temecula and the mountain and desert areas of the San Diego-Imperial County line.
