This was the second time that our measure was placed on the ballot because it lost in the March Election. It costs us taxpayers $240,000 to have it place on the ballot again.

Sacramento requires that each city and/or county provide them with their Land Use Plans for the next 20 years.

This measure described our future plans on the new Land Use in Monterey Park’s General Plan until 2040.

Measure JJ will ensure that our residents have a voice in maintaining and safeguarding the integrity of our neighborhoods.

Monterey Park has approximately 27,000 registered voters and 17,318 of them voted on our Measure JJ.
