CALIFORNIA FEDERATION OF BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN URGES REGISTERED VOTERS TO VOTE

Sacramento, CA—The California Federation of Business and Professional Women (CFBPW) points out that this year it is more important than ever to PLAN YOUR VOTE. Ballots will be automatically sent to every active, registered voter, but you can still vote in-person. If you vote by mail, you can mail your ballot at the post office with no postage required, or you can deposit it in a drop box, if your county provides these, or you can take it to a polling center. Check your county’s dates, locations and hours for early voting.

If you choose to vote in person, masks are required for voters and poll workers.  Poll  workers will also wear gloves and hoods at some locations.  Machines will be cleaned after each voter and social distancing will be enforced.

Here are some dates to remember:

September 24    Sample ballots mailed

October 5           Ballots mailed to all registered voters

October 19         Last day to register

October 24         Early voting begins

November 3       ELECTION DAY

There is a new system called Ballottrax that allows you to follow your ballot at every step and be sure it is counted. It is somewhat like Amazon package tracking. To sign up, go to www.california.ballottrax.net/voter. Also, you are encouraged to check you voter registration information at www.sos.ca.gov/elections/ to ensure that all information is accurate or to make changes. California now has Election Day registration that allows you to register at a polling place and vote provisionally. VOTE!
