Tamil and Sinhala Bible Diaries Now at SG Mission
The Claretian Bible Diary, published around the world in dozens of languages, has been made available in Tamil and Sinhala languages in the Los Angeles area for the first time. It’s on sale, while supply lasts, at San Gabriel Mission Gift Shop.
The diary price is $12 and has a page for each day with the mass readings, commentary, saint, and space for personal notes and appointments. The book provides an excellent way to read the Bible in the course of the year by reading, praying, and reflecting beforehand on the texts that will be proclaimed at mass, announced Rev. Fr. John Raab, CMF. Inflatable Water Slide “Prayer over the readings, guided by the daily reflections provided, deepens and personalizes the word that comes to us in the liturgy, “said Fr. Raab.
The gift shop address is 427 S. Junipero Serra Dr., San Gabriel, CA 91776 and is located between the two church buildings and next to the church parking lot. San Gabriel Mission offers free self-parking on a first-come basis in the church lot at the intersection of Mission Road and Junipero Serra Drive. Also, free parking is available on streets by the mission.
San Gabriel Mission was founded on Sept. 8, 1771 as the fourth oldest of 21 missions in California. The Roman Catholic parish has more than 70 active groups in a language of either English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Tagalog (Filipino) or Chinese.
