East Los Angeles-Montebello Business and Professional Women (BPW) selected Aida Diaz, who is Site Director of La Puente for the Boys and Girls Club of West San Gabriel, as its “Young Careerist for 2020.” Diaz will be accepting the award at the Wednesday, January 22nd dinner meeting of the East Los Angeles-Montebello BPW at the Marie Callender’s Restaurant, 220 S. Atlantic Blvd., Monterey Park. Networking starts at 4:30 P.M. Dinner starts at 5:00 P.M. and can be ordered from the menu. The meeting is open to the public, but reservations are required. The Young Careerist Program of BPW recognizes women and men between the ages of 21 and 35 who have been in their profession or business for at least a year. Candidates first are selected at the local level and then proceed to the District level. That meeting will be in mid-April. From there they proceed to the State BPW level. That meeting will be Saturday, May 16th in Van Nuys, CA.
